We loved it, and cannot wait to go back! On par, if not a little better, than our favorite steakhouse in Boston. This says a lot! It is especially nice to have a high quality, upscale restaurant in the suburbs, that isn't a chain. The decor and design is beautiful, and the vibe is fun and upscale. The staff are very welcoming and the service/experience is what one should get when spending a lot of money at a restaurant. This is important to me, and Post 1917 nailed it. The food and drinks were all fabulous. We had steaks, truffle fries, a salad, an appetizer, and dessert. There were some really unique appetizers. We had the truffle and lobster arancini, which were delicious. Can't wait to try others! My only other constructive comments are that we had to wait 15 min past out reservation time, which I don't mind at all, especially because there is a beautiful bar to hang out at. I'm just mentioning it because I would prefer to wait than be told that my dining experience is limited to a certain about if time, which a lot of restaurants do and it rubs me the wrong way. So keep doing what you are doing. Also, you should offer bread. Please

I’ve had a lot of great steaks. The bone-in ribeye I just ate at Post 1917 might be the best I’ve had. Great service. And loved the “Executive Martini”

What an incredible night! We had reserved a table for 15 people to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. From the moment we stepped inside, the professionalism and attention to detail were evident. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the dishes. The bottled wine selection was amazing, and we ordered a Caymus Reserve. We started our meal with the seafood tower, and the Alaskan king crab was absolutely perfect. I could have easily eaten oysters all day. Most of our party ordered steaks, and they were all mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. I heard from multiple family members that it was the best steak they had ever had, and I can definitely agree. I had a bone-in filet, and it was simply divine. The sides were also perfect, and I’ll be dreaming about the Brussels sprouts for days. But with all great things, they must come to an end, and we had to leave. However, we didn’t want to leave without trying a selection of desserts. The key lime pie was the star of the show, and I would definitely come back every day for it. The owner and executive chef, Jason, came to our table and greeted the family. If you haven’t tried this place, you must. It’s become a new family favorite, and I highly recommend it.

From great menu recommendations to checking in at just the right times, Pat made us feel like VIPs
